Milestones of Xi’an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd.

1992
In response to the “Southern Tour Speeches” by Deng Xiaoping, Mr. Geng Zhonghou founded a trade company in Xi’an, China, which was the predecessor of KOSUN.
1997
The first linear motion shale shaker in China was designed and put into production by KOSUN. Designers: Geng Zhonghou & Gong Wei’an.
2000
The first vacuum degasser in China was designed and put into production by KOSUN. Designer: Geng Zhonghou.
2003
The first HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) mud recovery system in China was designed and produced by KOSUN, and was utilized in the China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau’s project crossing the Nile River in Sudan.
2004
KOSUN was officially established in the Xi’an Economic and Technological Development Zone, China, and successfully registered the “KOSUN” trademark.
2006
KOSUN participated in China’s first independently designed offshore drilling platform project (the PEMEX project in Mexico). The project featured four sets of solids control systems designed and manufactured by KOSUN, marking the first time a Chinese company broke into the high-end offshore drilling platform market in the Americas.
2007
In June, KOSUN obtained the Import and Export License of China. In November, the first ZJ40 solids control system designed and manufactured by KOSUN was exported to Russia.
2009
Kazakhstan Republic and KOSUN established a joint venture in Aktobe. It was the first environmental protection and solids-liquid separation enterprise invested in by a Chinese company in the overseas oil sector, achieving its first project in the same year.
2013
The largest single-unit vertical cuttings dryer in China was designed, produced, and launched by KOSUN. It was applied to an oily sludge reduction and harmless treatment project during oilfield recovery. KOSUN subsequently applied for relevant patents, and the machine was awarded the title of “First Major Technical Equipment in Shaanxi Province.”
2014
The Science and Technology Bureau of Xi’an awarded KOSUN the title of “Technological Little Giant ” Enterprise. The Xi’an Petroleum Natural Gas Drilling Waste Management Engineering Technology Research Center was also established.
2015
The first solids control system designed by KOSUN and produced in collaboration with a Chinese-Russian joint venture was delivered for use in the city of Nefteyugansk, Russia.
2020
KOSUN signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Capital Environment Technology Co., Ltd., officially entering the fields of mine tailings and soil remediation.
2023
KOSUN won the bid for the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) large-scale oily sludge treatment system.
2025
KOSUN’s mud and sludge treatment and separation system was shipped to a major lake dredging project in Taihu, contributing to a national key environmental protection project.
